Mask/Distancing Protocols

For the health and safety of our community, Cecil College requires that face masks covering the nose and mouth be worn indoors on all campuses. Guests are required to socially distance 6' from non-household members when indoors and recommended to mask outdoors if unable to socially distance, regardless of vaccination status.

Quarantine: Updated COVID Quarantine Recommendations and Processes for Students

Cecil College continues to follow the CDC and Cecil County’s Health Officer’s COVID-19 recommendations. Due to Cecil County’s high COVID-19 transmission rate, if you have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period, regardless of your vaccination status) with someone who has COVID-19, please quarantine, and do not come to campus for 10 days.

Please refer the checklist at if you have been exposed to COVID-19 in a situation that is defined as a close contact above.


ALERT All library resources will be inaccessible on Sunday, December 5th, from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight.

Check out our brand new online catalog! New features include the ability to search for books and articles from EBSCO Academic Search Complete at the same time, as well as being able to limit your search by item type (DVDs, print books, e-books, etc.)  Recent additions to the collection are highlighted on the main page as well.  Need assistance with the new catalog?  Call 410-287-1005 or email
Use the online catalog to locate print books, electronic books, DVDs, and select journal articles.  You can search by keyword ("all fields"), title, author, or subject.  You can also renew your materials, put materials on hold and search for materials placed on Reserve for your classes.  Electronic books are available to read online, take notes, and print pages.  


Journal, magazine and newspaper articles can be located using the databases.  The library subscribes to a variety of databases that cover a wide range of subjects.  In addition to the traditional databases, the library also subscribes to e-references that contain reports, encyclopedia articles, articles from other reference books, videos, maps, images, paintings, and standardized test preparation materials.
